This episode, I talk about implementing a recycling program at my office.
A few days ago Joe was standing in the shower shaving when he realize how much water was being wasted in the process ... a moment that prompted him to wonder about other patterns in his life.
Given some of the issues with the previous design, Joe recently decided to do a visual upgrade. In the process, he added a few features to make the site a bit more community oriented. Here Joe takes you on a tour of the site. Enjoy!
Over the past couple days, Joe's had to confront a frightening reality that the last month had been essentially lost when it comes to productivity. Thankfully, he just interviewed Julie Morgenstern for an upcoming episode, so he's going to take her advice over the next few weeks, and figure out how to make the best use of his time ... hopefully his quest will benefit you as well.
Anita talks about some of the challenges she faced when putting Robbie in daycare for the first time, and some of the positive notes.
As I mentioned in the previous Glocal Cam, Anita and I are reorganizing part of our dining room so we can add a "resource recovery station". Here's glimpses into the process as we rework our storage setup, unclutter our lives, and make feel important all at once.
Here's a couple more pictures of Robbie as helps out:

As we've said before, at the Glocal Family, we're talking from a place of learning and seeking to discover how we can live a life that serves the greater good. In part this means dealing with our own clutter, managing our lives better, and figuring out how we can be green.
One of the ways we've decided to accomplish all of these things at once, is setting up a resource recovery station in our home. It's going to be a single location that we use for our trash, recycling, and a new edition, in-home composting. The journey is just beginning, but here's part 1.
Joe shares a few thoughts about Anita and his mom on this Mother's Day. Happy Mother's Day moms, and thanks to all of you who live lives that serve the greater good!
The other day Joe received a package in the mail. Given the contents and the packaging, the whole thing made him go, "Augh!" Here he is expressing his frustration and asking for solutions on how to fix the problem.
In this quick video Joe shares one of his struggles with being a glocal parent, specifically, how to be a parent who serves the greater good when it's less convenient for him. Robbie also shows up on the cam and lets his dad know what he things of his ramblings with a lovely yawn.
In this opening video, Joe introduces the idea behind the glocal cam, and shows you how his managed life isn't always all that managed.
